The Nonprofit and Public Management Center's mission is to equip future leaders in the private, public and nonprofit sectors with interdisciplinary insight that can help them operate more effectively when working for or collaborating with nonprofit and public institutions.
To students who aspire to leadership positions in the nonprofit and public sectors we offer practical managerial knowledge.
To students who intend to work in the private sector we offer insight into the dynamic intersection among public, private and nonprofit institutions.
To all students we offer a broad and deep education in how societies mobilize resources to address a wide array of challenges.
The Nonprofit and Public Management Center is a collaboration
among the University
of Michigan's School of Social
Work, the Gerald R. Ford School of
Public Policy, and the Stephen
M. Ross School of Business, each of which is perennially among
the top-ranked schools in its field.
The combined resources of these three graduate professional schools enable us to develop sophisticated educational opportunities for students, create a dynamic research environment for faculty and doctoral students and forge enduring, practical relationships with nonprofit organizations.
